This 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV coupe has been modified with widened GTA style fiberglass bodywork, dual Weber carburetors, alloy wheels, aftermarket sport seats, and lowered suspension. Power is from a 1,749cc inline-four that was overhauled following the current owner’s acquisition in 2019 and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. A repaint in yellow was conducted in 2020 along with the installation of a new starter, battery, drag links, center muffler section, and clutch slave cylinder. This GTV is offered with two binders of service records.

Fiberglass fender flares were added by a previous owner several decades ago, and rust was repaired around both windshields in 2011. The car was backed into while parked in 2019 while in transit from Virginia to California, and was subsequently repaired and repainted in Bahama Yellow with custom stripes in April 2020. Stone guard material was added to the lower panel edges. Amber turn signals fill the front bumper mounting holes, and the rear bumper has been removed as well.

Details include dual mirrors and a flip-up fuel filler cap as well as Minilite-style 15″ wheels that were mounted with new 215/50 Kumho Ecsta AST tires in 2019. A spare wheel and jack are housed in the trunk. Suspension work was reportedly carried out under current ownership, and the ride height is lower than stock. Power-assisted disc brakes can be found at all four corners.

Aftermarket sport seats are trimmed in black vinyl and cloth, while a new white headliner was fitted in 2011 and black carpets line the floors. The driver’s backrest adjuster is broken. A cap covers the cracked dash, which is accented with wood veneer and houses an Alpine CD player paired with speakers in the console sides and rear parcel shelf.

A Nardi steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and a five-digit odometer showing 20k miles. Approximately 7k miles have been driven by the current owner since 2019, and actual mileage is unknown. Auxiliary gauges are mounted above the shifter.

The 1,749cc twin-cam inline-four breathes through twin Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, and was overhauled in December 2019 by Alfaman of Novato, California. New ignition components and engine mounts were also added. The carburetors were adjusted and the starter and battery replaced in May 2020.

The five-speed manual transmission is also said to have been rebuilt in 2019. A new clutch slave cylinder, drag links, and exhaust center section were fitted in December 2020.

The car runs and drives great with a wonderful sound and great handling. Clean California title.
